Honda CBR650R and CB650R 2021 Model Updates
Honda’s CBR650R and CB650R have proven themselves as hugely popular mid-sized LAMS bikes and for good reason. Silky smooth in-line 4 cyl engines combined with all the latest tech and supreme handling. Perfect for those seeking a premium LAMS bike or ideal commuter with high spec yet competitive pricing.
There have been a few great updates for the 2021 edition such as:
NEW SHOWA SFF-BP FRONT SUSPENSION
Great handling and precise steering demand premium suspension. That’s why the CB650R now features a Showa Separate Function Front Fork Big Piston unit (SFF-BP). It offers both reduced weight, superior rigidity, and excellent overall performance. Plus it offers adjustability for spring preload as well as rebound and compression damping.
Honda have moved the CB650R’s bar forward and changed the bend in the bar too. Plus, using a premium, tapered-section swaged bar gives you better front-end feedback.
Continuing features introduced in 2020 include:
The assist slipper clutch lightens clutch operation and that reduces rear-wheel hop during rapid downshifts.
In addition to the usual speedometer and tachometer, the full-flat instrument panel features an LCD readout with indicators for gear position, water temperature, peak-hold display of engine RPM, upshift indicator and more.
The CBR650R uses an eye-catching dual-lens LED headlight that casts a powerful, scientifically tuned beam. It’s both brighter and smaller than a conventional design and contributes in a big way to the CBR650R’s sense of style. Brake lights and indicators are also LED.
Y-SPOKE ALUMINUM WHEELS
The aluminium wheels feature helps reduce unsprung weight. These lighter hoops have a greater influence on handling than the numbers alone suggest.
