Happy New Years from The Honda Shop
It is hard to say whether 2020 is a year to remember or to forget but it’s effects on everyone across the globe will certainly continue to be felt for years to come.
The team at The Honda Shop in Midland would like to thank all our customers, friends and family for their ongoing support.
We have had a huge end to 2020 with surging demand in all areas from servicing and parts through to new and used bikes and power equipment. Stock shortages due to reduced production capacity and COVID forced factory shutdowns have seen long lead times for some models and this is likely to alter the way in which all retail businesses operate for some time.
Many items are now available as “pre-order only” as limited stocks are being allocated to customer orders first. The days of being able to walk into the showroom and ride out on a new bike are gone. Here at The Honda Shop, a $100 deposit is sufficient to secure an order in the system for the earliest available vehicle. Without a confirmed customer order, we simply will not be allocated any floor or demo stock as there is no surplus stock.
In better news, 2021 will see a host of major model updates and the stock shortages are expected to ease slightly towards the middle of the year.
